Painting of the iconic Blackrock diving tower in Salthill, will begin on Monday, the 23rd of March.
The Diving Tower, shelters, changing facilities, rails and benches will all receive a makeover at the popular sea swimming location on Galway Bay.
Works are expected to take around three weeks to complete, depending on weather and tidal conditions.
The diving tower will be temporary closed during the works, with specific dates for these closures to be confirmed.

Local Labour Councillor Neil McNelis says that its important to ensure the future of the diving tower is secured.
