The Bon Secours Hospital in Renmore has launched a new third level scholarship.
The Potel Scholarship is for local Leaving Cert students who whose main barrier to third level education is financial.
It's valued at €5 thousand per year and will cover a students undergraduate programme for up to four years.
Applicants must have achieved 450 points in their Leaving Cert and have secured a place on a full-time Level 8 undergraduate in a STEAM related course.

Students must submit a 500 word statement outlining their goals and how the scholarship will help, along with two references, including their school principal.
