Brunt of Storm Bram to hit Galway between 3-6pm

The brunt of Storm Bram is set to hit Galway between 3pm and 6pm.

A large number of schools and several commercial premises remain closed due to the Status Orange warning, which is in effect until 7 this evening.

Galway's Christmas Market, the Ice Rink beside Leisureland and Kylemore Abbey are closed, along with the woods in Bearna, Terryland, Merlin Park and Rosshill.

The peak of the storm is expected along the West coast between 3 and 6 this afternoon.
