Galway Bay fm newsroom - A community group has launched a fundraising campaign in a bid to reopen Athenry playground.
The playground opened in 2004 after a fundraising campaign which began in 2002.
The facility was closed last month following a safety inspection which found some of the equipment had been damaged in the storm and was in need of repair.
