Cathaoirleach to raise Ukrainian flag today at County Hall

Galway Bay fm newsroom - The Cathaoirleach of Galway County Council will raise the Ukrainian flag at County Hall on Prospect Hill today at 3pm.

Cathaoirleach, Peter Keaveney will be raising the flag in a show of solidarity with the Ukrainian community living in Galway, Ireland, and across the world.

The gesture was agreed by councillors following a plenary meeting.

The Ukrainian community and the public are invited to attend.

Earlier this week, the Mayor of Galway, Colette Connolly also raised a flag at City Hall in a show of solidarity.
