The Presidential Election is officially a three horse race.
Three candidates have now officially registered their nominations for the Presidency.
Catherine Connolly submitted her paperwork at the Custom House yesterday afternoon.

The Galway West Independent TD was the first to enter the race back in July and has been campaigning vigorously since then
Fianna Fail nominee Jim Gavin and Fine Gael’s Heather Humphreys have also submitted their papers .
Maria Steen failed to reach the 20 required nominations from TDs and Senators by the time the deadline passed at midday (24 September).
Speaking in reaction outside Leinster, Maria Steen said there's a large portion of the population who feel unrepresented.
