The Children's Minister is being urged to include a shovel-ready childcare facility project for Clifden in the Government's €135m Capital Plan.
Fine Gael Councillor Eileen Mannion says planning permission has been granted for the vital facility near the local school.
However she says it's been held up due to a lack of funding, and is urging Minister Norma Foley to prioritise the area in her plans this year.
