A book launch in the city tomorrow will hear from survivors of Mother and Baby homes in Ireland and the UK.
Single Mothers in Twentieth Century Ireland and Britain was written by Dr Lorraine Grimes, a PhD graduate from University of Galway.
Contributors to the book will share their experiences of institutionalisation, deportation from the UK back to Ireland following pregnancy and experiences of forced adoption.
The event is part of the Flowers for the Galway Magdalene Women 2026 Project, and will take place at the Druid Theatre tomorrow afternoon at 2pm.
