City Council urged to improve maintenance and repair system for street lighting

Galway City Council is being urged to implement a faster and more efficient maintenance and repair system for public and street lighting.

City East Fianna Fáil Councillor Alan Cheevers says there are ongoing issues with areas being left in darkness for long periods of time.

He says the local authority need to work with its contractor Electric Skyline on improving the system.
