Galway City Council is being asked to show more urgency when it comes to the delivery of housing.
That's according to Councillor Alan Cheevers, who says translating plans and approvals into actual homes has been very slow.
He says councillors recently zoned more land to accommodate an additional 5 thousand homes across the city.
But Fianna Fail Councillor Cheevers says there are existing land banks zoned for many years where nothing has happened.
