A Book of Condolences in memory of Michael Lyster - who died over the weekend at the age of 71 - will be opened in City Hall later this morning
The Barnaderg native RTE broadcaster started his journalism career in The Tuam Herald, and was best known for presenting The Sunday Game Live for over three decades.
It will be opened by Mayor of the City of Galway, Cllr Mike Cubbard at 9am, with a book also available online.
A book has also been opened at County Hall, sharing the table with the book for world renowned singer Dolores Keane who was laid to rest on Friday.
