City to host discussion on Ireland's commitments to climate change

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Galway West TD and Junior Minister Sean Kyne will address a high level conference in the city later today, on Ireland's commitment to climate change.

The event will explore Ireland's response to the Paris Climate Accord, a United Nations agreement dealing with greenhouse gas emissions' mitigation, adaptation and finance starting in the year 2020.

The discussion will attempt to reconcile emission reduction targets with projections for growth in the Irish Economy, with a strong focus on agriculture.

The free event will take place at the Engineering Building at NUI Galway at 5pm.
