City-based medtech Vivasure Medical has been sold to a US corporation in a deal worth €185m.
The company, based at Parkmore, manufactures high-tech dissolving patches that close holes in arteries.
It's been bought by Haemonetics Corporation, a major multinational medtech based in Massachusetts.
Vivasure says the purchase will provide global scale and resources to bring its products and their benefits to more patients around the world.
