A city student has been named a finalist in the 2026 Miss Universe Ireland competition.
23 year old Destiny Facos, living at Gort na Glaise, is in her final year studying Early Childhood Education.
The current Miss Universe Ireland is 19 year old Galway student Aadya Srivastava.
The finals of this year's competition will take place in Dublin on Saturday June 20th.

The winner will then have a chance to represent Ireland at the global Miss Universe competition later this year.
