Clifden driving centre has Ireland's 2nd highest pass rate

Clifden driving test centre has Ireland's second highest pass rate at just over 87 percent.

But it does host substantially less driving tests than other centres - being the third quietest in the country.

Nationally, on average, just over half of learners who took their driving test in June passed.

The lowest pass rate in Galway in June was at Carnmore at 60.6 percent, with Tuam's pass rate at 63.8 percent and Clybaun Hotel in the city at 68.2 percent.

Those are still well above the national average pass rate of 55 percent, while the lowest is in Wicklow at just 37.5 percent.

Among the local centres, Carnmore hosted the most driving tests last month with 421, followed by Clybaun Hotel at 394, Tuam with 192 and Clifden with 48 tests.
