Construction resumes on new Salmon Weir Bridge pedestrian crossing

Construction on a new pedestrian crossing at Salmon Weir Bridge is resuming today.

Works on the new temporary crossing on the Cathedral side of the bridge began in November, and paused during the busy Christmas period.

Traffic management plans and signage are in place from today as works resume, to inform road users of disruption.

Galway City Council says two-way traffic will be maintained at peak hours.
