The County Council is to engage with local residents on a "chaotic" active travel project in Oranmore.
The works are taking place on the Maree Road, near the National School.
They include a controlled pedestrian crossing, several zebra crossings, and tightening of junctions off housing estates.
But at a meeting this week, Councillor Martina Kinnane said local residents had no idea the works would be taking place.
Management said they would seek to engage further for the remainder of the works.
Fianna Fail Councillor Kinnane says everyone supports active travel works - but this one needs adjustments.
