A local councillor is calling out the 'abandonment' of disused phone wires following recent stormy weather.
Athenry/Oranmore Councillor Sean Broderick says in some cases wires have been left hanging as obstacles in gateways throughout the county.
Repair works have been carried out in recent months following windy weather during the likes of Storm Eowyn.
