Christmas lights in Galway towns 'will be turned off' without Government funding.

This is according to Fine Gael Councillor for Tuam, Andrew Reddington, who criticised the Government for pulling the Christmas lights fund.

The installation costs for lights in smaller towns is between 10 and 15 thousand euros, with larger tows facing costs of up to 50 thousand.

Councillor Reddington says that local businesses cant afford to foot the bill for lights.
