Galway County Council has issued a warning to dog owners to coincide with the lambing season.
The Council’s dog warden service says it has recently had to respond to a number of complaints from farmers.
It's reminding dog owners that it is their responsibility under the Control of Dogs Act, to ensure their dogs are under effective control at all times.
If you witness an incident of sheep worrying or damage to livestock in Galway County, you're advised to immediately report it to Galway County Council.
