Galway Bay fm newsroom - Crime in Galway city and Salthill has decreased according to the latest garda figures.
At a meeting of the City Joint Policing Committee this week, members heard that crime is down by 17 per cent.
One of the biggest decreases in recorded incidents to gardaí was for one category of thefts up to the end of August.
