Newcastle-based heart and stroke charity Croí hit record numbers of health checks in 2025.
That's according to the organisation's latest annual report - showing almost 7,700 health checks were held at 211 events across the county last year.
It further says Croí helped hundreds of people who experienced a cardiac event or stroke, through its health programmes.
Croí says having made a number of capital investments in 2024, the focus for 2025 was on implementation.
Looking forward, the charity says it's focused on expanding access to prevention, supporting recovery, advancing research and advocating for better cardiovascular health.
