An open evening for Athenry Fire Station is taking place later today.
The new fire station opened just under two years ago, replacing the old station on Crowe Street which had been in operation since the 1960s.
Members of the public are invited to come along to meet firefighters, see fire engines and equipment, get fire safety advice and enjoy fun family-friendly activities.
The open evening is taking place at the Athenry Fire Station on Clarke Street this evening from 6-9PM
