CSO finds burglaries in Galway have decreased by 4%

The most recently recorded CSO crime statistics have found that burglaries in Galway have decreased slightly.

According to PhoneWatch, in the past 12 months, there have been 362 recorded burglaries in the Galway Division.

That's a drop of 4 percent, while there were over 9,000 recorded burglaries nationally - which is a 8 percent decrease on the previous year.

However, people are being warned not to drop their guard, as burglaries usually increase during the winter months.
