An electric bus fleet will be rolled out in Galway towards the end of this year.
There was controversy in recent months when it emerged the buses were in place, but couldn't be used to lack of charging infrastructure.
It seems a classic case of the cart before the horse - a new fleet of electric buses, but nowhere to charge them.
Last week, it was revealed that to date, the National Transport Authority has spent seven million euro storing them.
But, according to the Irish Examiner, it's told the Public Accounts Committee it's satisfied that it received value for money on the buses, and that purchases ahead of need are necessary.
In total, there's almost 100 electric buses earmarked for Dublin and Galway currently in storage.
The NTA has now confirmed that 42 buses for Galway should be on the road by the end of this year or early next year.
It's after planning permission was secured in March for a major upgrade at the city bus depot, including 70 charging stations. ]
