Cyclists urged to 'light up' by Gardaí and RSA

Gardaí and the RSA are urging Galway Cyclists to 'light up' in order to stay safe this winter.

In partnership with Galway City Council, Gardaí handed out bike lights and high-visibility equipment to cyclists this week.

14 cyclists have been killed on Irish roads so far this year, an increase of 3 from last year.

Sergeant Annette Clark is asking all road users to be mindful of cyclists this festive season.
