Deadline extension for public survey on Portumna's swimming area

The deadline for a public survey on plans to develop an Outdoor Recreation Building and Park at the Portumna Bathing Area has been extended.

Galway County Council is looking to transform the area, and is seeking the public views via a survey and an in-person event.

People are being encouraged to have their say on the project, which aims to enhance recreational infrastructure, environmental sustainability, and community wellbeing

The proposed vision includes a water sports and recreation hub, improved walking and cycling connections, and the development of a high-quality public park.

An in-person consultation event will take place at Portumna Courthouse on Wednesday, 1st July from 2pm to 6pm.

You can have your say at the event, or by sharing your views on the online Portumna Outdoor Recreation Building & Park survey.
