Galway Bay fm newsroom - The County Council has confirmed that design works are underway for the future restoration of the railway bridge at Ballyglunin.
The bridge is to be demolished during an upgrade of the N63 - and locals were concerned that the iconic structure might be permanently lost.
However, Tuam area councillors have been told that design works are underway to rebuild the bridge when the roadworks are completed.
