A man has been remanded in custody in the North, charged with terror offences following a cross-border investigation into a planned attack on a Galway city mosque.
38-year-old Connor Pollock, from Croob Park, Ballynahinch, County Down, appeared before Downpatrick Magistrates' Court today.
The charges relate to an alleged plot, by a group styling itself as the Irish Defence Army, to attack the mosque in Ballybrit and also target accommodation facilities used to house migrants.
The investigation into violent far-right extremism is being conducted by Gardaí and the PSNI.
No application for bail was made - and Mr. Pollock was remanded in custody to appear again, via videolink, on Monday.
