More than 1.32 million euro in funding has been allocated to eight Galway projects focusing on technology, food and small business initiatives
The Smart Regions Enterprise Innovation Scheme aims to strengthen regional enterprise, drive innovation and support sustainable economic growth.
To continue supporting start-ups and SMEs, Platform 94 and Creative Leaders Innovating for Market and Business Growth will receive over €300,000 each.
Following close behind with an allocation of over €230,000 is BIA Innovator Campus, which will use the funding to train and develop facilities.
Galway City Innovation District is getting over €166,000 for its development of new early-stage innovation infrastructure and entrepreneurship pathways.
Four other initiatives will receive funding worth between 40 and 70 thousand euro - Grow Remote Ireland, Galway Growth Cluster, Marine Institute and Údarás na Gaeltachta.
