€270,000 awarded to Galway city and county councils through community enhancement programme

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Over €270,000 has been awarded to Galway City and County Councils through the 2021 Community Enhancement Programme.

The CEP provides small grants designed to assist in the re-opening of facilities such as community centres, men’s and women’s sheds, parish halls and youth centres.

Through the latest tranche of funding, the County Council will receive over €143,000, while the city has been allocated €132,000.

The funding has been announced by the Rural and Community Development Minister Heather Humphreys as part of a €4.5 million investment to support groups impacted by Covid-19.
