4 point 3 million euro is to be spent on forensic specialists for the site of the Tuam Mother and Baby Home.
The team have been undertaking highly complex excavation works at the site since July last year.
It's seeking more experts, from a range of different areas, according to the Irish Examiner.
The team have been uncovering, recovering and identifying materials from four main eras of the site.
They are workhouse 1841 to 1918; Military, 1918 to 1924; Institutional, 1925 to 1961; and post-institutional, 1961 onwards.
So far, 11 infant remains have been recovered.
The Irish Examiner reports the Office of the Director of Authorised Intervention Tuam is requesting a new tender for more experts.
They're enlisting for roles such as forensic anthropologists, archaeologists and photographers as part of the work, which is expected to take year to complete.
