€6.5m investment for ATU and University of Galway

6.5 million euro in capital funding is being allocated to ATU Galway and University of Galway.

ATU will receive just over four million euro, while University of Galway will receive just over 2.3 million euro.

The funding will support essential campus works, including energy efficiency, health and safety improvements and investment in modern equipment.

Galway East TD Sean Canney has said the funding is part of a wider 41 million euro national investment in higher education institutions.
