Galway Bay fm newsroom - Fire crews in the east of the county were kept busy last evening with more gorse fires.
Mountbellew fire brigade attended a grass fire in Menlough shortly after 7.30p.m and quickly put the blaze out.
Meanwhile, Ballinasloe fire crews were alerted to a small vegetation fire outside the town at 10 o' clock last night.
No-one was injured during the gorse fires and there was no threat to property.
