Education Minister and Galway West TD Hildegarde Naughton says she and her department are "committed" to working with The Bish on a new school campus.
It's after the school expressed profound disappointment the project at Dangan was not included in a list of priority projects for 2026 and 2027.
The school says the new build is more than 20 years in the making and is urgently needed to meet demand.
Speaking to Galway Talks, Education Minister Naughton said she'd love to do more for many more schools, but she has to work within the Department's budget for the entire country.

But she gave an assurance that she will be working closely with The Bish to get the project over the line as soon as possible.
