ESB hopes to restore remaining Galway power outages by this evening

Galway Bay fm newsroom - The ESB hopes to restore and electricity supply to thousands of Galway customers by this evening.

Storm Ali hit Ireland yesterday, leaving two people dead in separate incidents in Claddaghduff and south Armagh and causing widespread damage.

Another weather warning comes into effect this morning - the yellow rain warning is in place for 7 counties in the south east including Carlow, Kilkenny, Cork and Waterford.

Many parts of the county are still experiencing power outages today, including Tuam, Connemara, Loughrea and Ballygar.
