Excitement builds as new Clan Stand at Dexcom Stadium officially opened

The Clan Stand at the Dexcom stadium has now been officially opened after a ribbon cutting ceremony took place at noon today.

The stand, which can hold up to 6,500 supporters, was officially opened by Uachtaráin na hÉireann Catherine Connolly.

Attention now shifts to the first game to be played at the new look stadium, with Connacht taking on Leinster in the United Rugby Championship this evening at 5:30.

Minister for Tourism, sport and Gaeltacht, Patrick O Donovan, who says that he wants to see a continued investment in Galway.
