Extra funding of €840 thousand euro has been announced for rural roads and laneways across Galway.
It's on top of €1.2m announced earlier this year under the Local Improvement Scheme - bringing the 2025 total to €2.1m.
Nationally, €30m has been allocated this year, the highest ever since the scheme was reintroduced in 2017.
