Final approval has been given to plans to transform a former convent in Spiddal into a creative media campus.
Last year, county planners refused plans led by Fiontar na Gréine Teoranta at the former Naomh Éinde convent in the village.
At the heart of this proposed creative campus is a new three story building, offering state of the art education in film and digital production.
It'll include a library, multi-functional auditorium and a performance venue with several hundred seats.
The existing convent, which dates back to 1920, forms a key part of the project - it'll be transformed into student accommodation and a canteen.
At the front of the new campus will be a new public plaza, as well as upgraded public footpaths.
The plans fell foul of county planners last year, who concluded the design and overall scale would be out of the character with the area.
But an appeal was taken to An Coimisiún Pleanála, which has now given the green light after almost a year of deliberation.
