The Fine Gael selection convention to choose its candidate for the Galway West by-election is taking place later this afternoon.
Three people are vying to run for the party in the election, which will take place in May.
They are: City Councillor Eddie Hoare, Senator and former TD Seán Kyne from Moycullen and former President of Young Fine Gael Eoghan Gallagher.
Party members will vote at the convention, which is taking place at the Galway Bay Hotel in Salthill.
