Galway Bay fm newsroom - Galway city fire brigade attended a fire at a house in the county last evening.
The chimney fire broke out at a house in Corrandulla around 8p.m.
One unit of the city fire brigade attended the scene and brought it under control within an hour.
No-one in the house was injured.
