A free Christmas "Park and Commute" service is now available in the city until Christmas Eve.
Motorists can park at either the ATU Galway campus at Dublin Road, or the Upper Newcastle carpark at University of Galway.
They can then either take a nearby bus into the city centre, or walk on foot.
Both car parks will be open from 8am until 10pm, with the final day of operation being Christmas Eve, Wednesday, December 24th.

Previously, Galway City Council operated a full Park and Ride shuttle bus service from Ballybrit - but this was scrapped due to low uptake.
