Met Eireann has issued fresh weather warnings, with last night's plummeting temperatures resulting in 'treacherous' conditions in parts of the country.
A status yellow low temperature and ice warning for Munster and Leinster will extend to Galway, Monaghan, Cavan and Roscommon at 11 o'clock.
It replaces a different weather warning that was in place overnight until 11am.
Met Eireann Meteorologist Holly O'Neill says most of the country has been hit by an Artic blast.
