Galway Bay fm newsroom - Funding of over 156 thousand euro has been sanctioned for six flood relief projects across the county.
The works will be focused in the areas of Coolaran, Turloughmore; Ardskea More, Corofin; Corrabaun at New Inn; Ballyglass in Kilconnell; Atticorra in Creagh and Clooncallagh in Moylough.
The funding has been approved following a number of applications led by Galway County Council.
OPW Minister and Galway East TD Sean Canney says flooding has been a source of great concern in these areas and work will commence shortly.
