A Status Yellow Wind warning has been issued for seven counties, including Galway, for Sunday evening.
The warning for strong and gusty winds comes into effect for Clare, Kerry, Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, and Sligo at 4 o'clock on Sunday.
It will remain in place until 10pm on Sunday night.
