Galway Chamber slams Government's 'Dublin-centric' aviation focus

Galway Chamber is slamming what it sees as the Government placing greater focus on expanding Dublin Airport.

The business group is warning that solely focusing on lifting Dublin Airport's passenger cap could weaken regional hubs like Shannon Airport and Ireland West Airport Knock.

CEO Karen Ronan says while they are not against the passenger cap being lifted, they feel there is a risk of widening regional inequality

Speaking to Galway Talks, she is calling for a balanced national aviation strategy - not a Dublin-centric approach.
