Galway County Council's changes to the County Development Plan has opened up land for more than 7 thousand homes

This week, county councillors approved variation one of the County Development Plan, following a public consultation period.
They sifted through 46 submissions - from local residents and community groups, and the likes of Uisce Eireann, TII and Government Departments.
