An energy summit being held at the University of Galway tomorrow will focus on "Achieving Net Zero by 2050" or zero carbon emissions.

The student-led event brings together industry experts, academic researchers and policymarkers.

Galway Energy Summit will have a special emphasis on energy security, national independence and data centre energy usage.

The all-day event kicks off in Aras na Mac Leinn at 10am - with panel sessions, a careers fair and a sustainable pop up thrift shop.
