Galway Bay fm newsroom - Galway farmers are taking part in a protest outside the regional veterinary laboratory in Athlone this morning.
The demonstration which is being supported by farmers from across the midlands and west, is over concerns regarding the future funding of such local laboratories.
The labs play a central role in the early detection of disease and analysis of unexplained deaths on Galway farms.
