Galway's Government TDs have been "letting the county down badly" over the past 15 odd years.
That was the claim made by Councillor Shaun Cunniffe at a meeting at County Hall last evening.
As Galway's chronic underfunding from central Government was discussed, CEO Liam Conneally admitted intervention at senior political level is now needed.
The argument has always been that per capita, Galway is the worst funded counties in the country since the economic recession.
It was agreed that Galway's oireachtas members will be invited to attending a meeting to discuss how greater pressure can be put on Government to rectify the situation.
